Sad to report that I did not get the super awesome position. I was one of the 2 final candidates out of nearly 40 applicants, but in the end, the cards weren't in my favor. I know that when one door closes, another opens and I am so lucky and blessed to even have a job right now. So time to move on!
I had my 1st graduate english class last night! Literary Criticism. I thought it would be terrible and painful, but it really wasn't! I already learned about Plato, Socrates and life in Ancient Athens. The best part is that the longest paper is only 4 pages and he said he doesn't like research papers because he doesn't want to read them. Yes, please and thank you!
Today I got the "You look like Maggie Gyllenhaal comment" again. I think she is so pretty, and can agree that we share some characteristics. More so when she's not rail thin.
On another topic - my dear husband is currently debating his father and the general public on whether or not Sarah Palin should be held responsible for the AZ shootings on his FB wall. I don't like to put comments so polarizing on FB and I have defriended old friends and acquaintances for that. I'm here to stalk your pictures, people.
OMG! I've never thought about it, but you do look like Maggie Gyllenhaal! I'm sorry to hear about the job, but I agree that when one door closes, another opens. It's hard to see it like that sometimes, though.
ReplyDeleteOh, and if I was still on FB I would be in the "I'm just here to stalk your pictures" group, too. :)
