24 Weeks

Size: Ear of Corn - and he gained about 4oz this week

Interesting fact:He could technically survive right now if he was born early, with serious medical intervention.  We want him to stay in MUCH longer to bake though!

Symptoms: Hungry!  I ate 1/2 a quiche last night.

Maternity clothes: Mostly yes and finally a random person, who did not know I was pregnant asked me when I was due.  Maybe we're passed the "is she fat or pregnant stage?"

Cravings: Chocolate chip cookies with milk.

Aversions: Sorry, chicken.  Maybe ground beef too.

Fun things: Just realized we're almost to the 3rd trimester!

What I miss:  Hebrew National hotdogs.

Misc: To my surprise, and delight, Billy heard Patton throwing up this morning and jumped out of bed to help him...and then cleaned it up and made himself coffee before I realized what was going on.  I didn't even know he knew how to make his own coffee!  What else does he know how to do, but is holding out on?  Laundry?  Also - I was reading in a magazine a list of things you should do before you have the baby and it listed having frozen meals prepared.  He said, "Why?  I can cook!"  Whew.  Not like I would have actually prepared meals in advance, anyway though.  Let's be real.

5 months!

Size: Mango or Grapefruit/ 12ish inches / Over a pound

Interesting fact: Babycenter.com says that loud noises that become familiar now — such as the dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.

Symptoms: Hungry!

Maternity clothes: In my regular clothes, I had over a month cycle before I rewore something.  Now...maybe 2 weeks.

Cravings: More salty than sweet.

Aversions: Sorry, chicken.  Maybe ground beef too.

Fun things:  Furniture is ordered!

Looking forward to: July 4th, vaca, LM's baby shower, and mine.

What I miss:  Having a pool!

Misc: The midwife confirmed the following things for Billy: the baby will not get tangled enough in his umbilical cord to harm anything, I can keep up my exercise routine, and it does not matter what side I sleep on - even my belly for now.   I know...he's just a concerned new dad!

22 Weeks

Size: Papaya or Spaghetti Squash/ 11ish inches / 13-20 ounces (The Bump.com is a little vague)

Interesting fact: His toothbuds are forming.  His eyes are developed, but the irises do not have pigment yet.  Hoping for my blue eyes instead of Billy's boring brown eyes! :)

Symptoms: Very minimal!  Some acid reflux.

Maternity clothes:  Yes, indeed.  I still probably need another pair of pants and a couple shirts.

Cravings: Ice cream.  More specifically - orange dreamcicle.

Aversions: Poultry.  This week I successfully ate sausage, kielbasa and tilapia!  We're back in business in the meat dept.

Fun things:  Cloth diaper class this weekend.  Billy was a trooper!  Also started furniture shopping.  We had no idea how expensive it was.  Or that Burlington Coat Factory's Baby Depot would have the best selection and prices!  Baby Will is going to have nicer furniture than I have.  That is no large feat though, really.  We bought a rug, the decals for the walls, and this morning I bought my first 3 diapers!

Looking forward to: Vacation. The next 4 months!  Maternity leave.

What I miss:  Again, sleeping through the night.  I got up last night, stepped on Patton and did a little tumble out of bed.  We are all fine - no worries!

Misc:  For those of you that missed it, Billy referenced my uterus on facebook last week.  I told him it was inappropriate and he said he was just using the correct anatomic terms.

21 Weeks

Size: Pomegranate or Carrot / 10.5 inches / 12.5 ounces

Interesting fact: He is sleeping in cycles - about 14 hours a day.  I now feel when he is awake, which is pretty cool.  Eyebrows and eyelids are now present.

Symptoms: Leg/foot cramps and oh, hello again acid reflux.

Maternity clothes:  Yes.  The pants are a little like sweatpants with the stretchy waist, so going back to regular pants may be a little tough after this is all over.

Cravings: Ice cream.

Aversions: Poultry and these Pittsburgers keep trying to push this stuff on me called "chipped ham" and it just sounds gross.

Fun things:  Being over half way there!  Starting to mentally put together the nursery and starting to shop for things. Registering for childbirth class.

Looking forward to: Vaca.  Cloth diaper class next weekend.  Billy is so excited.

What I miss: Sleeping through the night without getting up to go to the bathroom.

Misc:  The BOB and the chair for baby Will's room are en route!  The first two things to check off the list!  Thank you to Mom and Grandma!
